Description

Bariatric Advantage Vitamin A easy-digest mini capsules deliver 3,000 mcg of vitamin A as retinol acetate that is usually recommended for some bariatric patients. Vitamin A deficiency has been found in Adjustable Gastric Band (AGB), Roux-En Y Gastric Bypass (RYGB/RNY) Biliopancreatic Diversion/Duodenal Switch (BPD/DS) patients.

Vitamin A is critical for vision; and supports cellular growth. It plays a role in formation and maintenance of major organs (heart, lungs, kidneys). It is necessary for maintaining healthy skin, teeth, skeletal and soft tissue, and mucous membranes.2 *

WARNING: Excess vitamin A may contribute to a risk of birth defects. Pregnant women and women who may become pregnant should not exceed 3,000 mcg of preformed vitamin A (retinyl acetate) per day unless instructed to do so by a healthcare practitioner.
